Hmm...

So, I've decided not to post really on "the light bulb" because it has transformed into some fashion blog now, which makes it pointless to post on, because I already have this good old fashion blog, which by the way, is over a year old now!

It annoys me the slightest bit that it is now only a fashion blog, because the point was to vary it up and put different things into it, but I have no control over that.
So, no need to look for me on there now!

Besides, I like my blog better.

Hahaha ♥

Ugh!

Ugh! Yes, Ugh!

I'm getting my room re-done (and I cannot tell a lie, I'm super excited!) and my internet is down!

I really wish I could get back to posting some fabulous things, but it's really difficult at the present time...

I'm extra-sorry about all this! Stay fatihful please... maybe weird thing to say...?

I love you all!

Preppy? Yes. So what?

So, this year's been quite tough, but I'm okay. I just really haven't been able to keep so up to date with this, have I?

I'm trying as best as possible!!

Annnndd...
I found so really cute sweaters for the fall season. Obviously, considering my title, they're on the preppy side! but, I love them! So, here we are....

So, when I saw this, I thought, Autum!
Kind of like squash. Well, that doesn't sound as appealing as I wanted it to, but, you get the jist.
Very preppy, traditional, but still funky, right?

Then, there was this one! It's a little on the bright side, but I love it! You could wear some really cute skinny jeans and converse with this, as well. It's like a really easy thing to top off and outfit with, because it's got a bright color, and you don't look boring, at all. It makes a fun outfit and no work is needed!

So, this one's pretty self-explanatory. Grey, preppy, SIMPLE. But don't you looove the jockey look with the two yellow stipes on the arm? Come on, it's cute.

I just think the colors are great. It's got a cheery look, and sophisiticated. Very schoolgirl, it a nice way. Looks comfortable too, right?

I love these types of sweaters because they're easy, and you can jazz them up too! But, it's totally not needed, and you still look really sophisticated, right? Definitley. They're just really conveinient.

Oh, and every single sweater on this post is from J. Crew!! Yes, every single one. The store's a lot cooler than I thought. I mean, my mom shops there, but I never really noticed how nice hte clothes she buys there were. Anyways, gotta run! Tootles!

Home Sweet Home?

Sorry I haven't been in for a while. Just got back from being a counsellor-in-training at a certain Camp Glenburn, all the way in Canada.

It was too fun for words, but I must mention the obsession for rugby up there! My school doesn't have Rugby, but obviously. it's not too uncommon.
All the girls had these cute Rugby shirts, and I found one in Teen Vogue recentley, so here it is.

I'll be under construction soon, because I'm trying to make my blog a little more unique.

Au Revoir!

P.S. [My camp name was "Posh". J'adore it!]

Marc Jacobs

1.
2.
3.
4.

These shots are from a Marc Jacobs show of Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear outfits. Here's my opinions on some::

1. I'm liking the shirt over the shirt a lot. I've read that if you have a simple col, ored outfit, you can throw on a glossy tee! And, this really portrays that. The waist tie is really nice and the bag adds a little more pizazz to it all.

2. Gemma Ward, right? The coat is really nice including the vintage hat to go with it. I love the collar and the big buttons. I really really like the sandals!

3.I'm not a big fan of the bag, but the black shirt is so pretty! The bright shirt underneath also adds some more fun to the whole outfit. I'm indifferent about the pants, though.

4. I like the little jacket and unlike some things at fashion shows, it's simple enough to wear around! I don't think the flarred pants would look good on me though, but they're pretty nice I guess.

But I also thought....

I had the idea of finding some picutre or Orlando Bloom, in one of his finest outfits. Here we are! Bloom in Dior Jeans, Maison Martin Magiela t-shirt, and... well, a great jacket! Sorry, couldn't find the stylist. Of course, I love his relaxed look, it always brings out his features. No distraction from his beauty! He tends to have this style, which I must say, is quite a good thing.

Fine, we'll have a lovely garden party and you're not invited.

The quote above is spoken by Captain Jack Sparrow, in the film, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. It was really an enjoyable film, a bit confusing, but really great. Try reading the synopsis before viewing. A lot of time, I would just sit there, already confused about what was going on, and stare at Orlando's face. But, enough of that, everyone should grab their most bohemian clothing (I don't know, just for fun, the movie is quite bohemian as well), and run to a theater to see it!

Hope you all enjoy it!

Madras Sandals

I saw these sandals in a "Teen Vogue" photoshoot. They caught my eye immediatley, and I just loved them. Besides the fact that they looked comfortably, they were also just nice, how the straps wrapped the foot. Simple, but pretty. Very summery. I'm not sure everyone would like them, but I surely do! Now, I have a picture of other sandals claimed to be "Madras" sandals, but I don't like them as much, then again, I still llike the way they look. So, here's a picture.

No, I Think She Is Always Impeccably Dressed.

Keira Knightley has always had a good sense in style. I recently looked up her "official" website, which is horribly congested with pop-ups. But, I also found many pictures of her walking around in quite beautiful outfits, with her quite beautiful boyfriend. She seems to wear fun things, easy to lug around in, but still really cute! Quite a catch, I must say.

Perfect Summer Outfit: American Eagle

We all know American Eagle is quite preppy, but they have some really fun clothes too! Tt's really go for clothes to just play around in. They're sturdy, not over priced, and can look really fun. I decided to check out the site and find a perfect summer outfit. So here it is:

Here's a cute little tank that can be worn in the really warm days of summer, with the sum beating down on you back. It's a little vintage, pretty simple, and has a nice color scheme.

Then, if you're not feeling short-shorts, but not long jeans/capris either, get some bermudas! These shorts are plain white to go with the trim on the shirt, so you can have a fresh look, with a bit of fun!

What about for the evening? Warm, but not as sweltering as the day? Grab a light hoodie! This one's not covering you totally, so you can still feel the breeze, but keep yourself warm enough to feel comfortable. In addition, you can still see your vintage tank with lacy trim, to show it off! Also, grey looks just right with the white shorts and dark top.

Now for some flip flops? These seem comfortable, and have a little soft plaid on them, to top it all off! Dark blue to match the tank, of course.

Hope you liked it! Now go to some fun store and choose a whole outfit to just chill in, and you can mix and match the different articles of clothing, as well!

In the Depths of My Drawers

Once again, I was rumaging through different drawers and closets and found my old dress that I wore when I was about three. It's really cute, and I was looking at it, realizing it could be a shirt! It fits perfectly and would go really great with some spandex!! I really loved the texture and shape of it. It's quite unique...

So... then I found another really cool pair of capris in my closet that my mom gave me when I was like eleven, somehow thinking they would fit me. I remeber trying them on and watching them fall down to my ankles. So, she decided to keep them for herself, but she never wears them. So, she lets me borrow them, and I really like the stripes and large buttons on the sides.

Kiera's Tea Party

My friends and family threw a surprise tea party for me! I was so excited! My mom manages a french bakery in the city, so she really had everything planned out well! I wish I could have invited everyone, but I didn't even know it was being planned. It was really a blast, truly. We had a Charlotte cake, mini biscuits, all different teas, bright pink drinks (dragonfruit vitamin water), pasteries of all sorts, and little tea sandwhiches! It was amazing. I saw something like this a while ago in teen vogue, and I adored it. It was the febuary issue, and it was a "valentines tea party" shoot. I told my mom about it and apparently, she got the idea from that... (thanks teen vogue!).
Also, my friends were all sitting in the tea room with really nice dresses on, mostly of which were vintage, that were really adorable. Everything just looked so cute! Here are some photos, I hope you like them!

Anthropologie

I'm looking for a nice old summer's day dress. Where else better to look than Anthropologie? They really have a great selection, though I must say, it can be pricey! Thsi dress is the "Good Bye Kiss Dress" and really has a fabulous look. Festive and calm, a good warm evening dress. They also have a selection on their website (www.anthropologie.com) of differently styled dresses, so you can find anything you need! Pretty sweet, eh?

dELiA*s

dELiA*s has some of hthe cutest things I've ever seen, seriously. They've got everything from cute to fancy and there's probably one near everyone. I love this shirt, and sorry I've been away, but this shirt really describes them.
